Avant Beetle Presents: Beautiful Limits

Schedule:

Avant Beetle is thrilled to present Beautiful Limits, a groundbreaking video game gallery showcase that reimagines the possibilities of digital space. This international collection of games embraces the imperfections and boundaries of the virtual world, revealing the hidden beauty in its limitations.

In Beautiful Limits, artists from around the globe use video games as a medium to challenge conventional design and storytelling, pushing the boundaries of interactivity and digital art. These works embrace glitches, constraints, and the breakdown of virtual environments to create unique, post-modern experiences that redefine the artistry of game development.

Through this showcase, Avant Beetle continues its mission to celebrate avant-garde game design, to provoke thoughts and feelings, promote discussions, and bring people together. Join us in exploring the evolving frontier of video games, and discover how the beauty of limits fuels creativity in ways never before imagined. Find us:

1) The Supermarket’s main entrance is located at 638 N Highland Ave NE. Our door is in between Big Softie and Collette Bakeshop leading you down a hallway and a staircase.

2) Need less stairs? Have a stroller or use a walking aid? Use our secondary entrance in the middle of Otto’s parking lot. The decorative black metal door leads you through a courtyard. (Note: this door is currently open until 7pm then becomes an exit only.)

3) Need a fully accessible entrance without any stairs? We have a back entrance in a public alleyway behind the building. You can enter the alley off of North Ave NE or from Otto’s parking lot. Our entrance is the white door at the corner of the building.

Note: While we don’t have dedicated parking there are plenty of options in the area. See our map for more info!
