"My thesis is about blending my African heritage with Western design aesthetics. I'm exploring how globalization creates a new kind of culture and identity for a contemporary, multicultural subculture, especially one that focuses on the African American experience, like mine. This show will also feature photos and an installation showcasing the process and materials I use to create the textiles."
