This month, Hi Mom! A New Microcinema will be showing Amalia Ulman's debut feature EL PLANETA on Monday, November 25th at 8pm.
Inspired by real life mother-daughter fraudster duo Justina and Ana Belén, EL PLANETA (2021) is a wryly tender patchwork quilt of post-adolescent autofiction. Its wandering scenes of boredom and missed connections are strung loosely together against competing backdrops of class comedy and caper, and the result is part Rohmer, part De Sica, part Sofia Coppola.

1) The Supermarket’s main entrance is located at 638 N Highland Ave NE. Our door is in between Big Softie and Collette Bakeshop leading you down a hallway and a staircase.
2) Need less stairs? Have a stroller or use a walking aid? Use our secondary entrance in the middle of Otto’s parking lot. The decorative black metal door leads you through a courtyard. (Note: this door is currently open until 7pm then becomes an exit only.)
3) Need a fully accessible entrance without any stairs? We have a back entrance in a public alleyway behind the building. You can enter the alley off of North Ave NE or from Otto’s parking lot. Our entrance is the white door at the corner of the building.
